Medley’s presentation is: Property Tax 101 – A Taxpayers Guide to the Local Property Taxes. He will talk about the recent changes to the Tax Code and the rights, remedies and responsibilities of property owners within the system.
A graduate of Rice University and University of Houston Law School, Bruce has been practicing in the field of ad valorem taxation since 1982 and has been a partner PBFCM since 1989. He is a frequent lecturer on property tax topics, has been designated a subject matter expert on tax assessment and collections by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and is a certified instructor for tax professionals on property tax law, ethics, the calculation of tax rates and tax collections. Bruce currently serves as Vice-Chair on the Board of the Property Tax Education Coalition as representative of the Texas School Assessors Association.
