A Country Swing concert featuring world champion fiddle players highlights the 33rd birthday celebration of the Keene Chamber of Commerce at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, at Keene Community Center, 1000 N. Old Betsy Road in Keene.
The meal is catered by Massey’s BBQ, featuring its famous baked potato bar.
Admission is $20 per person for those who RSVP before noon July 21 at info@keenechamber.org.
The luncheon also recognizes many of the Original 24, the individuals who met at Keene Diner on July 1, 1993, and formed the Keene Chamber of Commerce.
The Country Swing concert is presented by former national champion fiddle player Robin Houghton, below right, and four-time national champion Ridge Roberts, left, appearing courtesy of Wings Over Texas Hospice.
The luncheon will also recognize the Flag Crew, the volunteers who display and remove the 351 U.S. flags along Old Betsy Road during 14 federal holidays, and include numerous door prizes.
