The Lewis Lane residence of Jessica and John McFarlin and the Keene Fire-Rescue Department station repeated as winners of the 27th annual Keene Chamber of Commerce Best Decorated Contest that recognizes a home and business best decorated for the holidays. The firefighters in the photo are, from left, Capt. Bailey Dennis, Fire Engineer Clayton Boyd, and Firefighter Sam Escobedo.

One award is presented to a residence for the best decorated yard or house. Two awards are presented to businesses: One for the best outdoor decorations and another for the best indoor decorations. All nominations must be within the Keene city limits.

A committee of judges visited each nominated home and business and made the final decision.

Owners of the winning residential yard (or house) and business exterior and interior received sign recognition placed at their address.

The McFarlin residence and Keene Fire-Rescue also won last year.

The Best Decorated Contest started in 1998.
