Reception for Cheryl and Wes Schram

Cheryl and Wes Schram are moving from Keene.
A reception in recognition of their decades of service to the city and nonprofit organizations will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Keene Community Center.
A brief program will begin at 5:15 p.m.
The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Keene Chamber
Wes was member of “Original 26,” meeting July 1, 1993, to form the Keene Chamber
Cheryl served for years on the board and two years as board president
City of Keene
Cheryl elected to City Council
Cheryl served as Mayor pro tem
Cheryl’s name on plaque in City Hall foyer as Council voted to build City Hall
Cheryl currently serves on Type B, resigning Aug. 19
Cheryl served as chair of recent Charter Revision Commission
Wes served on P&Z
Wes currently serves on Type A, resigning Aug. 20
Wes procured, designed and painted the granite Keene sign at Hwy 67/S. College
Southwestern Adventist University
Wes served as construction manager for Cyril Miller Mens Dormitory
Wes served as construction manager for Shan Chun Centennial Library
Wes designed and built the gazebo near Findley Hall
Keene ISD
Cheryl served as reading specialist for Keene and other districts in the county
